DR. NIKOO DAFTARY
Dr. Farideh Nikoo Daftary graduated from Northwestern Dental School in April of 2000. From July 2000 to June 2001 she was accepted into the postgraduate program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and obtained her certificate in Dental General Practice Residency. This experience helped her develop oral surgery and endodontic skills. It also provided her with experience managing medically compromised patients.
In 2004, Dr. Daftary was appointed as the lead dentist at Longwood Dental Center, LLC, a multi-dentist practice. Dr. Daftary is a licensed general dentist in the State of Illinois who has received certification in endodontics while at Longwood Dental.
Since 2005, Dr. Daftary has been fully devoted to the development and success of Art of Modern Dentistry. She has lead Art ofModern Dentistry to become one of the most modern general dentistry groups in the City of Chicago.
Dr. Daftary is a graduate of the Hornbrook Group’s Center for Advanced Clinical Education, which is recognized as one of the top cosmetic and full mouth makeover centers in the world. Dr. Daftary also actively participates in several monthly study clubs sponsored by the Hornbrook Group and PDL, where the most recent products and techniques in dentistry are presented and discussed among colleagues.
Dr. Daftary is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Hornbrook Group, PDL (Seattle Study Club), and is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and other cosmetic treatments.
When not treating her patients to wonderful smiles, Dr. Daftary loves spending time with her family. Together with her husband they have five dogs (Pandora, Cookie, Stella, Enzo, and Bear), two cats (Snowflake and Simba), and a turtle named Pokie.
DR. FUWAD AL-SABEK
Dr. Fuwad Al-Sabek is our resident endodontist, and a fantastic member of the Art of Modern Dentistry Family. Dr. Al-Sabek got his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and got his Certificate of Proficiency in Endodontics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He stayed at this university to later receive his Master of Science in Endodontics.
Dr. Al-Sabek’s focus has been developing root-canal procedures and other endodontic treatments that are virtually pain-free and take only one visit. He uses Art of Modern’s state-of-the-art technology to provide top-quality care for his patients.
When he’s outside the office, Dr. Al-Sabek enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and has an affinity for cars.
DR. WILLIAM J. COHEN
In the world of cosmetic dentistry, William J. Cohen, DDS has paved the way in the United States and beyond. In 1986, he became one of the first members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In fact, he even served as the president of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentists (AACD). What an honor!
With over 25 years of experience and one of a handful of accredited cosmetic dentists in the Chicagoland area, Dr. Cohen continues to make his mark. From media personalities to models, Dr. Cohen has personally played a part in crafting some of the most iconic smiles the world has to offer. Beyond aesthetic work, Dr. Cohen has also helped repair defects in both children and adults alike.
Dr. Cohen graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry as well as serving in the United States Army for two years once he received his doctorate of dental surgery. During his career, he has achieved fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and is a member of the Odontographic Society of Chicago.

DR. SHAHRAM RAOOF
Dr. Shahram Raoof, a Chicago native, earned his B.S degree in Biology with Honors at the University of Illinois at Chicago before moving to Philadelphia to pursue his dental degree. After earning his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania with Honors in Clinical Dentistry, Dr. Raoof joined Harvard School of Dental Medicine to earn his certificate in the field of Periodontics and Masters of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology.
Dr. Raoof’s extensive training in restorative dentistry at UPenn and his continued work at Harvard in surgical procedures such as dental implants, sinus augmentations, connective tissue surgery and guided tissue/bone regeneration, has granted him the ability to treat patients completely and comprehensively.
Dr. Raoof is committed to providing the most personalized, long-term functional and aesthetic treatment plans to his patients, through science and evidence based dentistry as well as compassion and empathy to his patients’ needs.
Outside of the office Dr. Raoof enjoys staying active through running, skiing, and biking. He speaks Farsi fluently and has a lifelong passion for traveling and exploring new cities and countries.
